Work Schedule: decided by the host family

Salary: $16 per hour

Work Environment: they work with children parents, and other family that live in the child's home.
Issues/problems that may arise: Child get's sick, child starts to backtalk, child may refuse to go to bed, parents might not agree with your caring style.
Benefits: save on housing expenses, live somewhere new, get paid for having fun, create lasting relationships
How do they help children and/or families: they watch child while parents at work, parents are able to have more time to spend with each other, children get help with schoolwork
Education: No degree is needed but education in early child development would help. CPR and first aid certification are commonly required, though.
Work Skills: Academic skills, pediatric first aid, communication skills, problem solving skills, active listening, cooking skills, collaboration skills, memorization skills.
