Welcome to the Pinedale Post
Welcome to "The Pinedale Post!" Once every couple of weeks, you will receive upcoming events, important dates, lunch menus, and more!
What is the Pinedale Post? The Pinedale Post is a newspaper invented by three 5th graders: Landon Parrish, Abby Wade and Mia Fernandez. These three students wanted to make a newspaper for the school, so they developed a plan for creating a student newsletter. They wrote down facts, gathered opinions of other students, and then got it approved. So now we have Pinedale Student E-News!
Want to submit an article? You can either talk to your teacher, or chat with Landon, Mia, or Abby. You can also email us at ThePinedalePost@gmail.com! Learn more down below.

Staff Wanted
Henry Ford said:
"Teamwork, coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress, but working together is success."
The Pinedale Post is in need of a full staff!
If you would like to be part of this project, please contact the editors, Mia Fernandez, Landon Parrish, or Abby Wade. We would love to talk to you. You can also talk to one of your teachers, staff members, office staff, or email us at ThePinedalePost@gmail.com. Only fifth and sixth grade students may sign up. To sign up, there is a link at the bottom. Also, we will accept articles from teachers and students in any grade. Just email one of us to let us know you are interested.
Million Word Readers Announced!
On November 16th and 17th, 5th Grader Mia Fernandez and 6th grader Alexa Myers broke the Pinedale record by reaching the 1 million word club before Thanksgiving.
"I love reading," Mia says. "I'm reading Harry Potter, and that helps me get more words, because Harry Potter books are really thick." Mia is in Ms. Walters 5th Grade class.
"I also love reading," Alexa states. "I just finished the Series of Unfortunate Events. I am now on a new series called Tom Clancy." Alexa is in Mrs. Stevens Homeroom Class.
Please congratulate these students, and remember, DON'T STOP READING!
Canned Goods were a big hit!
In December, Pinedale's SGA Officers hosted a canned food drive, to help raise food for Enterprise's Christian Mission Food Pantry. Together the school raised over 600 cans, and let more families enjoy their Christmas Dinner! Thanks to everyone who participated in this event!
Congratulations to Pinedale's Spelling Bee winners!
On December 8th, sixth-grade winner Sean Kearns won 1st place, and fourth grader Sydney Smith won runner-up in the Pinedale Elementary School Spelling Bee. Sean will be going to the County Spelling Bee. Please congratulate these students when you see them. Good luck, Sean!
