LS/US WEEK 40

THINGS TO CELEBRATE

7TH GRADE AUTHOR STUDY

Great job this week with the 7th grade Author Study Mike.

Kids did an amazing job analyzing the novel Homeless Bird, and connecting it to their own lives.

It was wonderful to listen your students reflect about the importance of resilience in life and how they related it to the book they read.

Congratulations

WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN

Way to go 4th grade team!

What a fantastic job at the Ancient Egypt Social Studies Fair. Kids were excited presenting all they have learned about this wonderful culture. They did an amazing job transporting all of us to that period of time. They spoke fluently and confidently. Great job Mabe, Johann and Justin.

Great teamwork ;)

EXAMS

Please keep on sending Study Guides and posting them on Schoology.

Help students practice for the exams and review contents during class time. Also make sure they know you are there to support them and to help them clarify any doubts or questions.

Nonetheless, students from 3rd-7th grade, also need to know and be clear that is their responsibility to review the study guides at home and study from them for the exam.

On the link below you can find some reflections and tips you may want to share with students to help them undertand their role in achieving their own academic success.

Don´t forget to fill in the Common Assessment Sheet with the Running Record, Writing and SMI/SRI results. (1st-2nd grade will also include the HFW). You can find this document in your grade level - Assessments folder.

If a student was absent for the SRI/SMI please reschedule the test during your technology hour.
