Midnight Sky

The children did a brilliant job thinking about how the woods might look at night in our Mantle story. We talked about the moon and how it would cast a shadow to create silhouettes. The children began by painting the moon using white paint and then added blue paint to make different shades. Then they drew trees and cottages onto black paper, cut them out and placed them onto their art work. I think you’ll agree, they look fantastic! 👩‍🎨
In Mantle the children have been thinking about the different emotions experienced by Hansel and Gretel when they were left in the woods. They talked about different feelings and described why they were feeling like that using role-play. The children really showed empathy for Hansel and Gretel, I was very impressed.
The children loved P.E with Mr Breheny this week. They took on the role of superheroes and practiced moving and balancing their bodies in different ways.
