Domestic violence is when someone is being abused by a loved one, boyfriend/husband. More than 10 million people are affected by domestic violence. It affects me by when I see it on TV and i know that I can not help them.

These issues affected people back 50 years ago they really couldn’t say anything because they did not have rights back then and it was allowed. They are still the same because women are still trying to get the respect and equality that they deserved.The way it was viewed in the past was that they blamed it on alcohol. In 1920 domestic violence became illegal but in the 1970's it became a serious crime.

50 years from now maybe it will be different Some of the new rights will be that it is OK to come forward and they will provide you protection like a special camp just for them so you don't have to be fearful of your life.

Maya Angelou is a vital person to my movement because she was abused at a really young age. She wrote inspirational poetry. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

I could have a fundraiser and then start a campaign begging women to come forward so that we can help them through this bad time in there life and also make a slogan to warn women to look for signs if they are in a abusive relationship or the relationship is starting to get abusive.
