Greetings from campus!
It's been amazing to watch our community come back to life as students and faculty have returned over the past few weeks. So much is different (Masks! A food truck! Math classes in the gym!) Yet so much is the same (Painting the Lion! Rehearsals for the fall play! Running on the cross county course!) In spite of circumstances, spirits are high as the entire campus enthusiastically redefines community, meeting this moment in the school's history with our signature creativity and responsiveness.
Connections matter. Strengthen your relationship with your alma mater in this new environment. Read on to learn about what other alumni are up to, discover virtual events tailored for multiple interests, and join our growing career networks to expand your professional connections. While it might be some time before we are able to bring you together in person, we love seeing so many new and familiar faces at our virtual events, and we hope to see you soon!

Having just completed the third week of classes, we are pleased to share that, for the third week in a row, we have tested the entire Williston community (now totaling close to 3,000 tests) and we have had zero positive cases to report. The news of our procedures and protocols since reopening were shared with the larger Easthampton community in this article from the local newspaper.
Emily McFadon Vincent House has come alive, welcoming its first residents! Forty girls and four faculty families are making Vincent House their home. Read more about the extraordinary alumna our newest dorm is named for.
As you can see, Mr. Dietrich and Mr. Hill have added school spirit to their daily face mask wardrobe. You can also sport 2020's most need-to-have accessory! Visit the online Campus Store to order.

Spotlight on: Nina Goodrich '74
" We need to think regeneratively as opposed to the whole 'take-make-waste' thinking...So how do we figure out a way to grow sustainably?"
As executive director of the nonprofit GreenBlue, Nina is working to bring sustainability to the packaging industry. Learn more about the innovative thinking that is a hallmark of a "circular economy," where materials are either repeatedly reused or naturally degrade.
Spotlight on: Pierce Freelon '02
Pierce didn't let the pandemic squash his passion for having a positive impact on his community. While launching a bid for city counselor in his hometown of Durham, NC, he also tapped into creativity inspired by family. The result? A new job as a public servant, and a Grammy-nominated Children's Music album! Written and recorded in collaboration with his 10-year-old daughter Stella, "D.a.D" is an eclectic chronicle of the life and times of a Black millennial father living in the South.
We're excited about bringing alumni together this fall and winter. From Class Zooms, chats with your favorite coaches, a virtual 5k and golf tournament, career networking and advice from experts, we are doing it all! Check out our regularly updated alumni events page, watch your emails, and tell your friends. We'll see you soon!
