Dogwood Flower of the day

Dogwood trees are commonly used to enhance someone's landscape. In the spring they have bright white through pink blossoms and red and purple leaves. In Fall they grow red berries on them. Dogwood roots are used to make dye. Different species of dogwoods provide a different color from their roots. Fun Fact: Depending on how the sun hits the branches of a Dogwood, they might appear to be a different color. In direct sunlight they may look crimson, whereas they may look lime green in the shade.
