Top 10 Reasons to be in the Media and Communications Program at ETSU for ETSU students

ETSU’s recent one of a kind alliance with Adobe provides students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop skills essential for the next generation of digital marketers.
The Mass Communication Department houses facilities to meet the needs of their students. Computer labs, audio production studios, The Edge radio station, an HD television studio and a surround sound mastering suite are all available for use.
Post production workshops are held on Friday afternoons to help students or staff in the Department of Mass Communication to further develop their technical skills .
You can check out any equipment from the equipment room to work on any projects you might have. Cameras, sound equipment and other electronics are available.
The faculty and staff all have loads of useful work experience which will help students succeed in future mass media endeavors.
Since the Media and Communications Program is such a huge collaborative effort, you will have opportunity to strengthen your communication skills.
Mass Communication students work closely with media professionals, who offer internships, career advice, portfolio critiques and resume reviews.
Experiences in the classroom provide project-focused teamwork experiences that accurately represents what students will encounter professionally.
Digital is changing the media ecosystem because of the high media usage occurring in young adults. There’s a lot of room to develop professionally.
There are a lot of majors to choose from in the Department of Mass Communications like Advertising/Public Relations, Journalism, and Radio/Television/Film.
