OMAHA ATHLETICS REWIND Dec. 19-25, 2016

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Omaha men's basketball team played its final non-conference game of the season last Wednesday, falling 94-75 at Pitt. Tre'Shawn Thurman finished with 18 points and nine rebounds, which moved him into the top 20 in school history for career boards. Tra-Deon Hollins added 17 points, a season-high six steals, five assists and three rebounds, shooting 6-of-9 from the field. JT Gibson also had a career-high-tying 13 points, and Marcus Tyus had another 10 points.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Omaha women's basketball team dropped an 81-41 decision to Central Florida last Tuesday. Mikaela Shaw registered her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney Vaccher had eight points and a blocked shot, while Michaela Dapprich added five points.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Tim Walters was announced as the second head coach in Omaha women's soccer history last Monday. Walters spent the last six seasons as an assistant coach with the Maverick men's soccer program.
