5. As Texas population grew church members expanded as well. 6. Between 1850 and 1860 the number of libraries in the state rose from 12 to 132.
7. Most family's had a bible to teach their child's how to read. 8. Artists were also captivated by Texas.
9. Texans in 1850's supported the idea of education. 10. Some towns in Texas did build schools so children could get their education.
