ID theft is happening, know what you need to do if it happens to you.

Keep all of your credit cards in a safe place. Do not ever give out your information about your credit cards, unless you know who you are dealing with!

Check your credit report annually. You are entitled to pull your credit score for free once a year. Make sure you are checking to make sure there is no mistakes or anything on there that you do not recall doing. If something is not right call the FTC right away.

Keep all your personal information in a safe place, where only you know where it is. Shred any unwanted mail and check your mailbox daily. Keep your date of birth and anything with you address on it somewhere safe where no one else can find it.

Never give your Social Security number to anyone. Never care your social with you and don't give it to anyone over the phone or on a website unless you know 100% who you are dealing with!
