The prime Directive of this project was to construct a robot to recognize and hit a golf ball.
What I Learned
I learned that constructing a mechanism to hit the golf ball was difficult. Getting the bot to hit the ball was a challenge, let alone getting the bot to hit the golf ball hard enough. The gears would make the arm that the club was mounted to move, which caused the bot's hitting percentage to be very low. Maybe if the club had more support the bot would have performed better. I took an approach that gave the bot a powerful swing, but very little accuracy.
