John Fitzgerald Kennedy The 35th PRESIDENT of the USA

John F Kennedy

John F Kennedy said “A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on.” John F Kennedy was the 35 president of the United States of America. He went to Harvard university. He was born into one of the world's richest family. He was born on the 29th of May, 1917 in Massachusetts. He ran against Nixon for president in 1960 and won. Overall John F. Kennedy had a good childhood and accomplished many things.

John F Kennedy was a good president for the short time he was in office. Something thing he did was, he got us in the mood to want to explore space and land on the moon.

Did you know that John's family was the 18th Most rich family in the world at the time. After all J-F-K gave hope to the world and was a really good president.

When JFK was a kid he loved to be a jokester. Here is another quote from John.

“Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.” He was assassinated on November 22 1963 in Dallas Texas USA by a man named Lee Harvey Oswald.

One of his challenges was inspiring the USA to give hope to get to the moon.

JFK also established the peace corps. The peace corps is an organization that gains peace throughout different countries. Kennedy's greatest foreign policy failure and greatest foreign policy success both involved one nation — Cuba. In 1961, CIA-trained Cuban exiles landed in Cuba at the BAY OF PIGS, hoping to ignite a popular uprising that would oust Fidel Castro from power. When the revolution failed to occur, Castro's troops moved in. The exiles believed air support would come from the United States, but Kennedy refused. Many of the rebels were shot, and the rest were arrested. The incident was an embarrassment to the United States and a great victory for Fidel Castro.
