Career Research Project Kylie Willis

My Project

The career I chose to research was Graphic Design. Graphic design is the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. The part of graphic design I chose to research was web design. Web Design is taking information on a web page and making it look good. It helps make information easier to access, view, and much more

There are A lot of different tools and software used in graphic design. The most common are Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

My project

For my five-hour project, I attended SheTech at UVU. SheTech is a conference that you can take classes on different areas of STEM. I took two classes; Adobe Spark, and TechArt. I learned about what kind of things graphic designers use, like HTML and CSS coding, basic design principles, and how I can get internships to big design companies.

This was from the TechArt class, where I learned basic webpage coding.

I also took a class on Adobe Spark. I learned how to make different webpages, posters, and presentations. I used it to make this presentation

This was my schedule for the day.

I got a lot of free stuff, like this t-shirt

There were a ton of companies that sponsored the conference. including adobe, family search, sodalicious, imflash and much more
