National Honor Society Students recognized for Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Service

Livingston High School inducted 103 new members into the National Honor Society on Tuesday, May 23 in a ceremony marked by the lighting of candles for the service, leadership, character, and scholarship that characterizes these LHS students.

“This is an incredibly capable and motivated group of young men and women, ” said Lori Perez, adviser to the National Honor Society, who noted their academic excellence balanced with volunteer work outside of school during the formal installation ceremony.

NHS officers President Jerry Zhuang, Benjamin Litvin, Yibin Long, Maggie Rong, Elizabeth Tartakovsky, Sasha Weber, and Sydney Thai spoke of the core values of the Julius C. Bernstein Chapter and began the lighting of candles that mark the beautiful ceremony.
