J.R. Briggs Newsletter December 19, 2019

Have A Safe Break

Not much more needs to be said about 2019. The year flew by and it was one of tremendous growth here at JRB. We have seen it all from PreK students becoming flourishing Kindergarteners all the way to our current 5th-graders becoming leaders as they guide students to the correct buses. Students and staff alike deserve a rest. Please take care of each other this vacation, and come back ready to start the new year on the right track!

Here is a look at some of our wonderfully decorated doors as well. Thank you to our guest judges for your help in choosing a 1st and 2nd floor winner and runner-up.

Student Council News

PTA NEWS

Please don’t forget that we need your 5th graders' baby picture for the yearbook!

You can post at anytime by going to https://www.jrb-pta.org/yearbook to create or access your account then navigate to – Shared photos folder – 5th Grade Who is that Baby Folder. Do remember to tag your 5th grader to their photo but do not put their name in the caption, we don’t want to give anyone away.

Yearbook committee volunteers are needed!

If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Tiffani Sell at xsell515@gmail.com. We may have 1 quick meeting to center on this, however, all work that is needed can be done at home; the only requirement is a computer.

Community News

Helping through the Holidays: On behalf of the Ashburnham Community Church and People’s Church food pantries, I’d like to thank the students, staff, administration, teachers and their families and friends at John R Briggs where the annual Turkey Trot Food Drive collected over 900 non-perishable food items for local families in need. These donations will help us provide hearty food staples for over 40 local families in need this holiday season. Thank you once again for your generous giving and your continued support!
