jane daguio Story Telling maven, hashtag lover, and devoted travel Junkie

Hi, I'm Jane.

I'm a new grad straight out of San Jose State University. I have a B.A. in Communication Studies and a minor in Public Relations. My journey as a student has led me to discover a number of interests some of which include traveling and seeking new adventures.

Speaking of traveling, I use my skills to tell a story about my adventures and share it with those around me. And, of course, social media plays a role in getting the story out there -- so let's just say hashtags are my best friend.

As a story telling maven, hashtag lover, and devoted travel junkie, there are certain skills that I've naturally picked up along the way. Photography, Writing, Blog Campaign Management, and maneuvering through various Adobe programs -- to name a few.

Ultimately, I'm shooting for a career in public relations. I want to start myself off in travel/tourism pr and one day branch off into crisis management. (I know, totally different right?)

I'm always looking to collaborate, contribute, and learn. Let's connect!

Writing

I enjoy writing for 3 reasons:

1) It's a way of sharing stories.

2) It's a beautiful way of communicating.

3) It's a creative form of self-expression.

Knowing Adobe

ADOBE PREMIERE

Recently, I've learned how to edit videos using Premiere. It's a work in progress. I'm adding on new editing skills as I go.

Next trip on my list? Singapore and the Philippines at the end of the month.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

Photoshop is an amazing tool. I use it to color-edit photos, to resize images, and more. The possibilities are endless. For examples of Photoshop edits, scroll up to the 'Photography' section.

Campaign Management & Blogging

The way I got into blogging is sort of a funny story. It started because it was a requirement for a class. Before I knew it, not only was I keeping up with the blog I created for my New Media class, but I started an entirely new blog too.

I believe that there will always be a way to re-invent a story and blogging has the power to do that.

Below, you'll find links to both of the blogs I manage.

Personal Blog on my travels:

"Chasing Anonymity in Places I've Never Been"

Blog on wine:

"Building Relationships with Wine Since 2016"
