The health and wellbeing of our employees is a key factor in increasing everyone’s motivation, job satisfaction and creativity, and we take this very seriously.
As an employee you will have access to our Employee Assistance Programme, PAM Assist, which is run by experienced and professional counsellors who provide free, independent and confidential life management support to everyone at HMRC.
As well as professional counselling, a free 24-hour helpline is available to everyone and covers a wide range of work, family and personal issues. We also have trained mental health advocates in each of our locations and have dedicated wellbeing and reflection rooms in our buildings, so that employees can take time out if they need to.

Support for Managers
Managers may also need extra support at times, and can access confidential, impartial and professional advice for handling a wide range of workplace issues, ranging from supporting emotionally distressed colleagues, managing difficult situations as well as getting personal support for themselves.
