Specific training requirements vary by client or employer. However many who succeeded as an advertising illustrator may acquire post-secondary training in graphic design or fine arts. Several universities offer fine arts programs such as University of Toronto and University of Waterloo. As well there are colleges offering the same program such as Seneca College and Sheridan College. To get into these programs, there are no other required courses that has to be taken in high school other than English.

The person I chose to interview is Kitty Chan who is an illustrator plus a graphic designer. Kitty Chan has done a selection of exclusive pop culture illustrations, cards, as well as experience in e-commerce, and marketing.
