  • May 23rd- Academic Awards will be held at 5:00 pm for 6th graders, 6:00 pm for 7th graders, 7:00 pm for 8th graders (Invitation only)
  • July 18th - WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Orientation for incoming 6th graders will be held in the gymnasium from 8 am – 12 pm. They will be led through a series of fun activities to acclimate them to middle school.


We appreciate all of our families who donated money to sponsor students on field trips! Many Falcons were able to attend because of you!!

Car Line Pick up and Drop off REMINDER

Drop off: Car rider line begins at 7:20. Students MAY NOT be released from vehicles until 7:20. As per stated in the CSMS handbook, "Due to supervision concerns, students may arrive on campus NO EARLIER than 7:20 am."

Pick up: Dismissal begins at 2:20 pm. Vehicles MUST use the car line to pick up their student. Vehicles MAY NOT enter the middle school parking lot to pick up students. Please drive slowly. Please do not talk on your cellphone during drop-off.

*We are no longer allowing students to cross over to be picked up from the parking lot.

Clinic Medications

End of Year Notice

All student medications in the clinic need to be picked up by a parent or guardian no later than the end of the school day on the last day of school (Thursday, May 30, 2019). After this date/time, all remaining medications will be transported to District Student Services in the Lecanto Complex. Student medications will be disposed of if they are not picked up from District Student Services in Lecanto by Thursday, June 6, 2019.

ESE Parent Survey

The 2018-2019 Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Parent Survey will be open from February 1 to May 31, 2019. While paper surveys were provided for parents of all children receiving special education services, an online version is also available at www.esesurvey.com. Please take a moment to provide feedback by completing this survey. The valuable information you give us will help us make decisions on the effectiveness of our services in meeting the needs of our students. Thank you for your time!

SAEC Meetings

All parents are invited to attend the School Advisory Enhancement Council Meetings. SAEC meetings will be held on the following dates at 3:00 pm in the Media Center:

Chess Club

Those who have signed permission slips will meet every first and third Mondays from 2:30-3:30 in the Media Center. Permission slips are available in media. See Deputy Hunter with questions.

S.T.E.A.M. Club

S.T.E.A.M. Club (Science Technology Engineering Art & Math) runs every Tuesday in room Ms. Markey's room from 2:30-4:00. See your science teacher for a permission slip.

YMCA After-School Program

The Citrus County YMCA will be running the After School Program at Citrus Springs Middle School. Cost is $35 per week and financial assistance is available to those who qualify. This program is held on site between the hours of 2:30pm and 6:00pm. Staff will assist the students with homework, engage them in teambuilding projects and will also focus on character development. AVID is a college and career readiness program-Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID Dress up days are held on the second Tuesday of each month.


FCA-Fellowship of Christian Athletes-ALL are welcome! Meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of the month @7:30 AM in the gym.


SWAT will meet every second Thursday of the month before school (7:20 am) and during A lunch .
