Artistic Collage:

This is a collage inspired by the song Skinny Love by Bon Iver. This song has been very important to me throughout high school after I heard it for the first time my freshman year. The song relaxes me and helps me feel at peace, which is represented by the flying dove and drop of water. The outdoors is also very calming to me, and the autumn forrest in the collage shows the song's ability to remove me from reality and put my mind somewhere tranquil instead. I often listen to the song when I am feeling strong emotions. The holding hands remind me of the conflicts I've had that I want to be reconciled. Playing the flute is also something that relaxes me, and the music notes seen in the collage are taken from a flute solo that I really enjoyed playing.

Artistic Collage:

My inspiration for this collage was the poem "I'd Pick More Daisies". The poem talks about enjoying the little things in life and not getting so caught up in the business of the world. The city in the background reminds me of life when it's busy and hectic, while the meadow reminds me of peace and happiness. The things stamped in the sky are a few of the little things in life I try to enjoy, such as music and sunshine.

CD Design:

My inspiration for this design was the album "Death Of A Bachelor" by Panic! At the Disco. I enjoy this album because I imagine the music to be excited and brightly colored. This is why I chose to make the outline of the artist's head colorful while the rest of the album is in black and white. I also chose to make the disc colored as because the disc contains the music, and the music is the best part of all. I picked the font because of its simplicity, but also because it seemed more powerful and easily read that a lot of the other basic fonts did. The design as a whole seems loud, which is how I prefer to listen to this album.

Web Design:

When I designed this home page, I imagined what I would want from a zoo if one were to open in Cedar Rapids. I knew I would want to see what animals would be there, which is why I included a "Meet the Animals" box. I also know I'd need to see when the zoo was open and how much it was going to cost in order to visit, so I made sure to add sections about tickets and hours. I then looked at other zoo websites to see what additional information they had, and then included information about events and directions. When I think of a zoo, I think of animals, nature and fun. I tried to incorporate all of those elements into this design. The animal element is found in the bird logo and the meet the animals box. Nature is incorporated through the leafy green background, and I tried to make the design seem fun by placing the information in brightly colored shapes.
