The workshop welcomes photographers of all levels and no specific level of expertise or previous experience is expected. The aim of the course is to provide you with a set of skills and techniques that you can use to improve your photography of models and lighting no matter what type of equipment you use. You don’t need the latest expensive cameras – all levels are welcome.

Les Domaine des Jasses

Our base will be Domaine des Jasses which is 30 kilometers south of the medieval walled Citè of Carcassonne. Les Domain des Jasses is about escape, the perfect location to begin “The French Experience” photo workshop. The current owner gave up being a lawyer and came here to become an artist. Three cars a day pass the end of the drive which leads to a landscape unchanged since Roman times.

The rooms are large, and the house is filled with antiques and art collected over a lifetime by the owner, an added bonus to create multiple backdrops for different types of shoots.

Shoot in grandeur, the Domaine des Jasses will be your home giving you the opportunity to relax and be inspired to photograph to the highest possible standards.

To find one’s self in a such a stunning location lends itself to creative inspiration, Les Domaine des Jasses is such a place where once Nuns prayed for a French King, we have the privilege to photograph in harmony and with beauty.

This photo workshop is an opportunity to experiment with a host of different styles, period costumes and models who will work with you so that you may add some fantastic images to your portfolio
The course is about exploration and moving out of your comfort zone to take great pictures. In a friendly, open environment, we aim to inspire you to get more pleasure and fun from your photography for years to come.
Built towards the end of the 12th century, the fortified site of Belflou, was known as Valflor -valley of flowers.

Fun Time

One of the great things about the French Experience photo workshop is the diverse range of images that can be created.

Each model has their own distinctive style and with some great direction from the photographers running the workshop there is no doubt that captured images reflected that.

This is Sophie taking time out to enjoy some pool time - well deserved after a greats days shoot. In fact I don't think it was long before we all enjoyed a freshen up in the pool.

We are serious about having fun and making sure you enjoy your time with us and ultimately that you leave us with great memories and stunning images
