KS2 Remote Learning Week beginning 22nd February 2020

Following the announcement from Welsh Government, Foundation Phase (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) will return to school on Monday 22nd February. Remote learning will continue for KS2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6)

This guide will keep you updated with what to expect from remote learning at Broughton Primary School. You can access the work at any point during your day it does not need to be completed during school hours. It also includes help videos and FAQs.

Key STage Two

  • Live lessons will take place via Google Meet twice a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The link for the Google Meet will be posted on Google Classroom. Times are listed below. Activities linked to the live lessons will be posted on Google Classroom as normal.
  • Broughton Bootcamp sessions will be held each Thursday afternoon.
  • Each Friday, activities will be posted on Google Classroom. These will NOT be accompanied by live lessons.

Key Stage 2, Remember!

Always start in Google Classroom and join Google Meet from there.

Using a tablet device?

You will need the Google Classroom and Google Meet app downloaded and logged in with your child's Hwb login details. Once in Google Classroom, click the Google Meet icon at the specific time to join the video call. πŸ‘‡

Using a desktop, Chromebook or laptop?

Where do I find my child's Hwb log in?

Contact your child's class teacher if he/she has forgotten Hwb login details.

I do not have a device for my child, what should I do?

Contact the school office at brmail@hwbcymru.net.

My child needs help to complete one of the activities, what should I do?

Join a Google Meet video call (see specific times above) for your child to speak directly to a teacher.
