Hey Parents, check out this brief message from David about your student serving.
Who are Student Leaders?
Students Leaders are 6th-12th graders who are impacting their communities by showing others what it looks like to be the Church. They have embraced the call to become like Jesus for the sake of others. As they serve, they are following the example of Christ and leading the way for others.
Students can serve in multiple ministries on the weekend, from LifeKids to Host Team. As students serve, they get to use their gifts and passions and see God use them to impact other's. We truly believe that our students are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are the leaders of today!
Ready to get started? Check out the steps below!
There are 5 steps students must complete to start serving
Use the links below to apply to Swerve
Step 1: Student Volunteer Application - This form is the application to be a Student Leader. Can be completed by the student or parent/guardian.
Step 2: Parental/Legal Guardian Release Form - This form can be completed by the student’s parent or legal guardian.
Step 3: Reference Check - This form can be completed by an adult over 18 year old, not related to the student applying. It's your responsibility to send this link to a coach, teacher, boss, etc.
Step 4: Interview/Student Leader Orientation - This interview is a brief conversation with one of our Switch Pastors or leaders where we get to know them, and understand why they want to Serve. Student Leader Orientation helps set up students for success as they begin their serving journey.
Step 5: Ministry Orientation - Each ministry (Host Team, LifeKids, etc.) has its own orientation. The appropriate orientation leader from those ministries will contact you about orientation upon completing Student Leader Orientation.
After completing these 5 steps, students are ready to serve!
