The Divine Mercy Learning OuR FAith through The Sacraments and salvation History

Jesus I Trust in You. Jesus is the Word of God. This prayer calls us to have faith and confidence in Him and to trust in His promises.

We see Jesus dressed in a white garment. This is a sign of His Resurrection, the most important belief of our faith. Jesus is victorious over death and promises to do the same for us, at the end of time. Restoring us gloriously - body and soul.

From Jesus’s Heart, pierced on the Cross with a Lance, Blood and Water flowed out. These symbolize the sacraments of the Church. Water- the Sacraments of Baptism and Confession, that purify our soul. Blood- the Most Holy Eucharist, Jesus, the Life of our soul. From His Heart pours forth a fountain of Mercy for us.

Jesus’s hand is raised in a blessing. Jesus shows mercy to us even though we are sinners. This reminds us that we are called to show mercy to others in just the same way. We can always do some act of mercy towards others, even if all we can do is pray, that is a powerful offering!

O Blood and Water that gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus, as a Fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
