London born Charles Joseph, 26, goes by the name of Chux when he's in the booth; A self-educated turntablist with a passion for music of all genres and all eras but with a particular specialism in Hip-Hop. He is also the Co-Founder of London Collective The Pipe Dreamers, bringing you the Hip Hop/Future Beats go to night, ILLICIT. Despite only playing his first gig in 2012 his technical ability is that of a seasoned veteran, as is his music acumen, not to mention his industry knowledge having spent 5 years working at the world renowned West End DJ in central London.
Since breaking onto the scene Chux has had incredible success, whether its playing in front of 15,000+ in a stadium or an intimate 150-400 person venue, Chux has delivered cross country and abroad. Some of these venues include:

Chux has extensive experience touring with the likes of OthaSoul and most recently Barney Artist. He has supported the likes of Hip-Hop legend DJ Jazzy Jeff and Little Simz as well as supporting Pete Rock, Talib Kweli and Loyle Carner as Official DJ for Soul Hip Hop duo, OthaSoul. Chux is now Official DJ for Barney Artist as of 2018 and has already toured with Barney supporting Alfa Mist across the UK and in Europe, playing festivals such as Love Supreme, World Island Festival, Barn on the Farm and Sonic Visions Festival. Chux has also enjoyed spinning at festivals such as Bestival & Fresh Island Festival in Croatia, and he has just finished touring Europe with Barney Artist supporting the incredible Tom Misch on his sold out European tour in Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and Munich
Chux is extremely well versed in the corporate world of DJing having played regularly for the likes of UEFA, for Arsenal's home Champions League games at the prestigious Emirates Stadium in 2014, as well as working with brands in store and for bespoke events, such as NIKE, NFL, Levi's, Superdry, Selfridges, Foot Asylum, Axel Arigato, Ace Hotel and more
THE PIPE DREAMERS
Chux is the Co-Founder of the London based collective The Pipe Dreamers, who have birthed the event ILLICIT, an event that has been hugely successful since it was started back in March of 2016, already having been booked for Fresh Island Festival out in Croatia. Chux is the Music Curator and graphic designer for the brand which puts him in control of music policy, DJ bookings and aesthetic brand representation. With help from business partner, social secretary and brother, Sammy Sosa, the duo have managed to keep a tight nit operation almost entirely in-house!

Chux is a resident at ILLICIT and enjoys pushing more obscure Future Beats, Hip Hop, R&B, Trap and more. The idea behind ILLICIT is to bring you the songs you know and love, and the songs we know you'll love!!
RADIO
From Late 2013 to 2016 Chux was a regular fixture on ITCH FM as Producer, Host and DJ for The OthaSoul Show bringing Soulful sounds to listeners worldwide for over 100 shows. Starting off on Sundays with Co-Host Louis VI, formerly known as Jungle VIP, and then riding solo on Fridays he shed light on emerging artists and showcased golden music each and every show. Guests on the show included Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei, JD Reid, Loyle Carner, Rebel Kleff, Dozer Carter and Barney Artist, along with some very special guest mixes from the likes of Complexion, ROM, Jake Milliner, Dr. Mad, J. Robb and more. The OthaSoul Show was always about showcasing the best of the old and the new regardless of followers or popularity and it became a hub for Soul Hip Hop, Neo Soul, Boom Bap and Dreamy Trap. From artwork to play listing Chux did it all meticulously to bring you the best possible sound and quality radio.
