A chiffon cake is a very light cake made with vegetable oil, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and flavorings. It is a combination of both butter and foam type cakes.
Examples: Lemon Chiffon cake, Apple chiffon cake, and chocolate chiffon cake.
Step 1: Separate eggs. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 2: Preheat oven.
Step 3: Combine dry ingredients.
Step 4: Beat in liquid ingredients.
Step 5: Beat egg whites.
Step 6: Fold ingredients.
Step 7: Pour batter into tube pan and bake.
Step 8: Remove cake from pan, cool inverted.
