In 1997, SUNSTAR and the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry held a groundbreaking symposium entitled “Sunstar-Chapel Hill Symposium '97 on Periodontal Diseases and Human Health: New directions in periodontal medicine”.
20 years later, the “UNC Perio 2017 Expo” hosted by the UNC School of Dentistry was sponsored by an educational grant from Sunstar. Highlighted the progress made over the last 20 years as well as future prospects within the field.
