1. Appointments.

Make an appointment to speak privately with a city commissioner. You can request in-person meetings or phone appointments.

2. Emails.

Email commissioners individually or send a group email to citycomm@cityofgainesville.org

* Please note that commissioner emails are public records and will be published online. Please do not share private information over email.

3. Community Meetings and Events.

Attend community meetings and work groups. The City of Gainesville is committed to engaging our neighbors through the course of city-sponsored projects and hosts a number of events and activities throughout the year to help build community.

4. Advisory Boards

Join an advisory board to have a greater impact on the topics you care most about.

5. Sign up to speak during a City Commission meeting.

Sign up in advance to speak about specific agenda items or to share a general comment at a regular City Commission meeting. Speakers may also sign up in the City Hall Auditorium on the day of the meeting.

6. Make an e-comment.

If you don't wish to speak or can't attend the meeting in person you can opt to leave an e-comment to be shared with the commission and added to the official public record.
