Where are You Sailing?

The Juneau Icefield is the source of many glaciers including the Mendenhall Glacier and the Taku Glacier. The Icefield is home to over 40 large valley glaciers and 100 smaller ones. The Icefield serves as a tourist attraction with many travelers flown in by helicopter for quick walks on the 240-to-1,400-metre (790 to 4,590 ft) deep ice and the massive, awe-inspiring crevasses.

Relax in vintage passenger coaches as you retrace the original route to the White Pass Summit, passing Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. Enjoy a breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles & historic sites. See the original Klondike Trail of ‘98 worn into the rocks, a permanent tribute to the thousands of souls who passed this way in search of fortune.

You may be booking your Alaskan cruise for the natural beauty of Glacier Bay National Park, but this scenic destination is also the perfect place for viewing animals straight from the ship. The land and waters of Glacier Bay National Park have been a destination for viewing whales, bald eagles, and so much more. Be sure to bring a pair of binoculars and ask the on-board rangers what to look out for in order to get a closer glimpse at Alaska's most treasured wildlife.

Ketchikan is an Alaskan city facing the Inside Passage, a popular cruise route along the state's southeastern coast. It's known for its many Native American totem poles, on display throughout town. Nearby Misty Fiords National Monument is a glacier-carved wilderness featuring snow-capped mountains, waterfalls and salmon spawning streams. It's also home to rich wildlife including black bears, wolves and bald eagles.

Victoria, capital of British Columbia, sits on the craggy southern end of Vancouver Island. With abundant parkland, it’s known for outdoor activities. The city's British colonial past shows in its Victorian architecture, including stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion. Butchart Gardens, with 55 acres of vivid floral displays, plus statuary, water features and a carousel, is one of many formal gardens in the city.

Seattle is an exciting urban city surrounded by unmatched natural beauty. Adventure awaits you so we strongly recommend that you consider adding a day before or after your cruise to explore this incredible city!
