This week in Kindergarten...
We will read "The Jacket I Wear in the Snow". We will use this book to learn about the clothes we need to stay warm in winter, make our own class book version, practice sequencing and learn how to label.
We will continue working in our groups for reading room. I am very impressed with everyone's progress in letter recognition and beginning sounds! We are focusing more now on sight words, blending and segmenting words and rhyming. Please have your child read the books they bring home to you for practice and talk with them about what happened in the story.
In math we continue to focus on the following skills: number identification, counting by 1s, 5s and 10s, and shape recognition.
