The first part of today's meeting (which starts at 9.30am - tune in to Parliament TV to watch) is continuing evidence on our gender pay gap inquiry. You may have seen that the gender pay gap was in the news a fair bit at the beginning of the month, as new reporting legislation came into force. This is something that's been covered by many of our witnesses to date in evidence sessions. If you want to see our inquiry remit, the written submissions we've received, and the Official Reports of meetings to date, it's all over on our website.
Today's meeting has two panels, with trade unions and the public sector the theme of the first, and professional organisations in the second. We have further sessions planned for next week and 2 May, when we'll finish our evidence with the enterprise agencies and the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work. After that, it's onto the report which we plan to publish in June.
As always, drop us a line or a tweet if you have any questions (and many thanks to those of you who answered our plea to help us get to 2000 followers- we're inching closer...slowly...)
