Theseus and the Minotaur By Saleen Faul

Theseus lived in Athens with his father who was the king of Athens
He heard about the sacrificing going on and decided to go to crete to kill the Minotaur to end the sacrifing
His father let him go but with one wish for him to return with white sails so he knows that he is alive
8 women and 8 men traveled to crete to be sacrificed to the Minotaur including Theseus
Upon arrival to Crete he met a girl who instantly fell in love with Theseus and told him where the Minotaur was
Then Ariadne told him to use a stone and string to find his way back out when he defeats the Minotaur
Theseus and the Minotaur met each other and started to fight
Theseus defeated the Minotaur and headed home with all 13 other people including Ariadne
On their way home Theseus left Ariadne on an island
But on his way back he forgot to change the sails to white
So when his father saw the black sails he was so sad he decided to jump off a cliff to his death
This time there is no happy ending
