Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Noah Robertson

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is the ongoing struggle between Israelis and Palestinians that began in the mid-20th century. Palestine wants to become a free state separate from Israel. They have tried several times to reach a peace agreement but it hasn't worked. This conflict has been going on for roughly 50 years with still no conclusion.
The issues that make this conflict so complex are mainly lack of mutual recognition, borders, security, water rights, control of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements, Palestinian freedom of movement, and Palestinian right of return.
War is a result of the change of borders and demographics. They have had wars to change borders and take back what they feel is theirs.
The Oslo Accords are a set of agreements between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, I think it was successful because it brought a way to provide peaceful negotiations.
