Energy Made by ben delzer

Energy is split up into two categories; potential and kinetic.

Potential energy is the energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors. There are three types of potential energy. They are elastic, gravitational, and chemical potential energy.

Elastic potential energy is Potential energy stored as a result of deformation of an elastic object, such as the stretching of a rubber band.
Gravitational potential energy is the energy an object possesses because of its position in a gravitational field.
Chemical potential is energy that can be absorbed or released during a chemical reaction or phase transition.

Kinetic energy is energy that a body possesses by virtue of being in motion. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, observable as the movement of an object.
