Meet Noreen Doughty

What do you do in a day?

I learn, teach, communicate and organize. Through it all, I organize!

Who Inspires You?

While I learn and take lead from many individuals, the person that made me who I am is my mother. In her quiet way, she inspired me to be caring, strong, and independent. She never let me down.

What is the best part of your job?

Working with people. Traveling across the country, or ocean to meet, bond and find ways to learn, grow and problem solve - together.

What inspires you?

To complete a task or job and have done it well.

What’s the best thing about The Mesa Group?

Each day I work with a team of associates, with unique personalities, strengths, and abilities. However, all have the same goals of supporting and teaching each other, as well as delivering professional services to our clients.

What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?

I love the mountains and water.
I am the happiest hiking to a the top of a mountain or kayaking in a quiet body of water. I also enjoy sewing, scrap-booking and furniture refurbishing.

What five words, or less, of advice do you have for others in your profession?

Listen, investigate, encourage, motivate and demonstrate

If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who would it be?

My grandmother, I’d like to have her tell me what it was like as a young girl growing up in Ireland. I never thought to ask and now I would like to know more about her life before I knew her.

What is one of your proudest moments working at The Mesa Group?

The day I realized that I could live up to Jim, Bill and Carolyn’s expectations. I continue to do my best with that goal in mind.

What is the best vacation you have had?

A spur of the moment trip to Puerto Rico with my daughter.
We shared long walks along the ocean, hiking, body surfing down a river and a midnight kayak adventure through mangroves to a phosphorescent moonlit bay.
