What a Week!!!!!!
This past week was full of great events and lasting memories. It was so special!
Special thank you to Ann Skaehill and her team for putting together a fun tribute (and AMAZING cookies from the Cookie Rack) for our Seniors at practice on Thursday. In addition, Ann and her team has done a FANTASIC job of feeding our kids each football game. Our bellies thank you all!!!!!
Friday was another special night honoring our Seniors at the annual Senior Night before the football game. It was a night full of emotions and was very special for us all. Thank you to Carrie Archer, Kierstin Vance, Kevin and Robyn Lilly and all of the other people that made this night so special!!!
We would be remiss in not thanking the tireless work of Tammy Meyer and her team of concession stand workers present at each of the home football games and many other sporting events. Your presence and dedication to the Prosper Mighty Eagle Band is felt and much appreciated!
We ended the week with a fun movie night at the Frisco Cinemark watching ELF! A special thank you to Kierstin Vance, Kelly Harris, Denise Broyles, Robyn Lilly and everyone else involved for helping last night be such a success and to the rest of the PBBC Board for providing this opportunity for our students!
We should be receiving more information about the pictures taken on Friday night for our Seniors. We were hoping to send this out in time for this week's band news; however as we receive them, we will relay the information to you.
Thank you to all of the parent volunteers and helpers that make the Prosper Mighty Eagle Band so MIGHTY!!! We could not do it without you!
Congratulations to the students that advanced to the Phase 2 auditions currently underway. We had several last minute additions decided by the region to advance (they are designated with a *). We are so excited for all that have advanced.
All advancing students were featured and recognized at the Black Out Pep Rally held last Friday at PHS.
These students represent the highest level of musicians throughout our Region and their achievement is of great honor due to the competitiveness of this contest. Please help us congratulate all of the advancing students and to all of the students that participated.

The Holiday Concert is Almost Here!
Monday, December 14th is our scheduled PHS Band Holiday Concert! We are so excited to host our very first concert band performance of the year.
This year due to crowd restrictions, we will be hosting our concert in the PHS Arena beginning at 6:30pm. This will give all band members and attendees plenty of room to spread out. All concert bands will be featured at this concert and we are so looking forward to it!
Start Time: 6:30pm
Call Time for Students: 6:00pm (details will be given in class this week)
Location: PHS Arena (please enter through the outside east gymnasium entrance)
COVID Requirements: Masks are required throughout your time inside of the building. Please practice safe social distancing. Families may sit together, but please maintain at least two seats in-between each family.
Band Student Attire: Dress to Impress. No jeans, athletic shoes, or shorts. ATTENTION GROWING HUMANS: Try on your outfit now in case you have outgrown it. You have a week.... you have been warned.
Marching Uniform Cleaning
It has come time for all marching band students to turn in their cleaned marching band uniform. We are asking that all students send their uniform to be professionally laundered to be ready for next year's distribution. All uniforms must be turned-in inside a plastic laundry bag supplied by the cleaners and a receipt attached. This is to ensure that all uniforms have been professionally laundered before turned-in.
Items to be laundered (not dry cleaned): Jacket, Bibbers, Sleeves & Gauntlets. Shakos cannot be laundered but should be cleaned with a mild detergent on a cloth and wiped with a wet clean cloth. DO NOT SOAK OR PLACE YOUR SHAKO IN A WASHER OR DISHWASHER!!! Please keep your gloves, shoes and garment bag.
We will accept uniforms beginning Tuesday, December 15th and will continue collecting them for the rest of the week. Please begin to bring your uniform to the cleaners as soon as possible to ensure it will be ready to turn-in. We will discuss the turn-in process in class this week.
