Relax from sunrise to sunset in these delightful 1920s cottages near Abererch beach, From the large balconies at Awelfryn and Maes Teg you can enjoy panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, Snowdonia and the stunning coastline. Keep scrolling down for information on both properties.

Awelfryn

Located a mile from Pwllheli and a mile from the glorious beach at Abererch, Awelfryn has been in the family since it was built in the 1920s by my grandfather, William Jones. In 2012 it was renovated with a focus on sustainability. A traditional front exterior now blends seamlessly with a rear modern eco addition with a sedam roof and a large glass wall which is south facing and gives panoramic views over the slate balcony towards Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia.

Awelfryn has an open plan feel. The modern kitchen area is behind an old bread oven which also houses a wood burner. Towards the back of the living space is the dining area which allows you to eat and enjoy the panoramic views at the same time. The cosy lounge area with smart TV allows plenty of space for all to relax.

The cottage has gas central heating to keep the cottage warm all year round. It also has fibre fast wi-fi and a smart TV with ability to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime or Now TV.

Awelfryn sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (one king, one double and one twin) and the bathroom has a bath and a separate shower.

Maes Teg

Maes Teg (known as Sgwner View with Quality Cottages) is located a mile from Pwllheli and a mile from the glorious beach at Abererch. You can relax here from dawn til dusk and enjoy the panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, the mountains of Snowdonia and stunning coastline. My great grandfather, Captain John Evans, sailed schooners from Abererch in the 1880s and had you been sitting on the field where the cottage stands now, then you would have been able to see him! The property was sustainably developed in 2018 and has the wow factor as you walk in the door. Light streams into the airy living area from where patio doors open onto the large glass surrounded balcony.

Maes Teg sleeps 8 and has an open plan layout for the modern kitchen, dining area and lounge featuring a large wood burner.

The cottage has gas central heating to keep the cottage warm all year round. It also has fibre fast wi-fi and a smart TV with ability to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime or Now TV.
