The Gingerbread Man Design Challenge
Throughout most of the early winter, our Digital Learning Coach, Mrs. Davis, and the classroom teachers have taken part in a open minded challenge. Students, using a variety of materials, tried to help the gingerbread man cross over the water to the other side of the river. We certainly saw many interesting solutions to this problem. 4th Grade STEAM Project
It sure feels like winter out there, but Mrs. Smith's fourth-grade students are thinking spring! As part of a yearlong effort to welcome more pollinators to our schoolyard, students are identifying the plants in our science garden. 4th Grade NAEP Evaluation
We are about a week away from representing the great educational programing of our district and state in the NAEP assessment. This very short evaluation will take place for 4th graders that were notified last week. Students will spend about 60 minutes completing the computerized assessment in the library. This Wednesday, January 30th, there is a band performance at JRB. This will be the debut concert for beginning band students. Students in A and B Band are to arrive at 630 pm with instruments and music. Mr. Uminski will check students in in the lobby.
The concert will start at 7pm. Concert Dress: black (or dark) pants or skirts with a white shirt. All black dresses are also okay. If there are any additional questions regarding this concert, band, or lessons please email Mr. Uminski at email@example.com
