It's mid-week and there are ALREADY Superintendent Notes! Miracles can and do happen! Truly, there are a few things below we wanted everyone to see before FRIDAY. I hope state testing is going well at your site. Thank you for handling this effort with professionalism and with a positive attitude! Mr. Rotert appreciates your efforts too I am sure!

Meet Wilson, proud member of our Early Learning Center crew!

Enrollment for our Early Learning Center for ANY Sand Springs Public Schools employee is open now for the 2021-22 school year! This has been a highly successful first year of implementation and I am proud to say we have provided a quality learning environment for our very youngest Sandite babies and toddlers! Follow this link for more information!

If you have not completed the Vaccine Survey, please click on the link and do this soon. We are simply trying to determine the percentage of our staff who have had OR will have the Covid-19 vaccine. We are NOT collecting personal information or email addresses of respondents.

Mrs. Olivares' Kindergarteners made this incredible sign to cheer on the Northwood's 5th grade students as they entered into the spring testing season this week! I have no doubt our students will KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK!

We are in the process of planning summer JULY activities to wrap services around students. You may have heard your site administrator or department director discussing these. You will receive information from Mr. Beard very soon. Our goal is to provide our students with a quality summer event that will not only allow us to curb learning loss, but ALSO will provide rich summer activities students may not have had access to during this pandemic year. A little known fact it seems: LEARNING IS FUN!

This year has presented us with many opportunities to choose what will preoccupy our time and attention. Putting events in perspective can be difficult in challenging times. Enjoy the small stuff as these may be the most meaningful for you! This may seem tough in current circumstances, but remember tough times, including pandemics, don't last forever. Taking care of you allows you to take care of others! Appreciate ALL of you! ~Sherry
