History of Anstar Smart steel. Since 1981.

1981, Hollola

Anstar Ky was founded by Kari Viljakainen.

The company is manufacturing anchoring plates, diagonal ties and different steel parts in a small barn for the use of the building industry. Staff of two people.

Main products in the beginning of 1980:

Anchoring plates, APK COLUMN SHOES, ATP and ALP FOUNDATION BOLTS.

1987, Hollola

Fire in the facilities of Anstar Ky.

1988, Villähde:

New facilities. Staff of 10 people.

1989

Company name is changed to Anstar Oy and purchasing of the company’s first welding robot starts automation.

1992

Instant dimensioning software Coljoint is published for column shoe and bolt dimensioning.

1993

Manufacturing and selling the new patented AEP STEEL BRACKETS is started.

The use of AEP BRACKETS increases rapidly and with that connection many office buildings are built.

1995

Current APK COLUM SHOE

1996

Moment resisting connection solution, which is built from APK-M BAR SHOE and AMP FOUNDATION BOLTS.

1997

ARJ REBAR COUBLER ARJ BRACING SYSTEM

1998

New office building is built when business increases.

1999

AES and AET FULL REBAR TENSION RESISTANCE ANCHORING BOLTS, AK COLUMN SHOE

2000. New production hall, where the focus in production is in diagonal ties, foundation bolts and column shoes.

2000-luku

3D modeling and TS component tools in TEKLA.

2003

Composite A-BEAM manufacturing is started. Instant dimensioning software for A-BEAM is launched.

2004

AR HANGAR and MASONRY SYSTEM for new and renewal buildings.

2005

ASL WALL SHOE is launched.

2005. The world’s biggest pulp mill is built i.a. with ADK BRACING SYSTEM.

2005

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates are issued.

2007

AOK hollow core support is released.

2006, Lahti

Recreational Center is built with A-BEAM and AEP BRACKETS.

2007

Workshop expansion, in which increased A-BEAM production is started.

2010

Products are made to fit European sizing standards.

2012

Anstar continues to globalize in Sweden, Germany and Baltic countries.

2012

The product development has been heavily invested in through the whole company’s history.

2013

Certificate EN ISO 1090-1 is issued.

2014

AHK COLUMN SHOE is launched.

2014. Airport Terminal in Singapore.

2015

Äänenkoski pulp mill is one of the largest projects. Welding certificate EN ISO 3834-2 is issued.

2016

Production of A-BEAM-S is started and A-BEAM is raised to a challenging EXC4-category.

2016

A-COLUMN dimensioning software for column connects and new applications to aid designers.

Developing of the company and products continues.
