What was the Trojan War ?

The Trojan war was a war between the Greeks and the people in the city of Troy that lasted 10 years.

How did the war start and end?

The war began when the Trojan prince Paris abducted Helen, wife of Menelaus. Menelaus had his brother lead an army against Troy to get Helen back. The war ended when the Greeks used a large wooden horse to help enter the city of Troy.

Who were the major players in the war?

The important people in the Trojan war were the Trojans Helen and Paris. The important Greeks were Achilles, Odysseus, Menelaus and so on.

How does the Odyssey relate to it?

The odyssey relates to the Trojan War because it is a epic about a Greek named Odysseus. It was about his struggle to get back home from after the War which lasted 10 years which is the same time the war went on. He faced battles with creatures and god on the way.

Who is Homer?

Homer is a Greek poet famous for his epic poems, The Iliad and The Odyssey. Not much is known about Homer except his writings.
