Berlin is a federal state and the capital of Germany, Berlin is associated with its World War II history and division of East and West Germany by the Berlin Wall during the Cold War.

Munich is know as the origin of October fest Munich is home to several sophisticated opera houses and theaters the city has a lot of modern architecture and historical churches.

With historic treasures like the Old Bridge, the Heidelberg Castle, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Knight St. George House, Heidelberg is a popular tourist attraction. The city center’s main street is packed with pubs, restaurants, museums, art galleries, shops and markets.

The castle is near the town of Fussen it was built by King Ludwig II of Bavariait in the 19th century.

Lübeck is located in Schleswig-Holstein founded in 1143, although it was the first German city to be bombed and damaged during World War II, Lübeck still retains much of its architecture, making it a popular tourist destination.

Germans love sausage and so they made a salad out of it. The most famous of these types of sausage and meat salads is the traditional Wurstsalat.

The Black Forest cake is known all over the world and it has its name not because of the Black Forest region and mountain range, but because of the special Schwarzwalder Kirschwasser.

The mix of cola and orange soda can be found in many areas of Germany.

This food item can be found everywhere in Germany was in fact introduced by a Turkish living in Germany. It is called Doner Kebab

Currywurst is a fast food dish of German origin made of steamed and then fried pork sausage

Fussball is the most famous sport in Germany. The German league called Bundesliga is one of the most famous leagues in Europe.

Golf is also a popular sport in Germany play by a lot of people

Ice hockey is a team sport played on ice, usually in a rink, which two teams of skaters use their sticks to shoot a rubber puck into their opponent's net to score points.

Basketball is a very famous sport in Germany. The German Basketball leaugue though is far from being the top one in Europe.

Tennis is a very popular sport for Germans to practice,The German Open Hamburg established in 1892 is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Hamburg Germany and part of the Association of Tennis Professionals Tour

1914–1918 Germany goes to war against Russia and France. The conflict escalates into World War I. Germany is defeated.

1933 Adolf Hitler, an Austrian, takes power. Hitler and the Nazi party begin a reign of terror.

1939-1945 Germany invades Poland, marking the beginning of World War II. The U.S. and its allies defeat Germany, Italy and Japan.

1949 Germany is divided into the Federal Republic of Germany in the west, and the Communist German Democratic Republic in the east.

1989-1991 The Berlin Wall, separating East and West Germany, is torn down. A unified Germany is formed with Berlin as the capital.

2005 Germany elects Angela Merkel as its first female chancellor. She was reelected in 2009.

2015 Germany takes in refugees, most of whom are fleeing violence in Syria. About 800,000 refugees arrive within a year. TIME names Merkel its Person of the Year.

2015 Chancellor Merkel offers temporary asylum to refugees, causing mass movement of people through Balkans towards Germany in winter.

In Germany their national language is German. In this picture it says ¨speak German¨. There flag is black, red, yellow. Their most common food is Wienerschnitzel it is made of breaded and fried cutlet.
