STATS 3090 TEST #1

STUDY & TEST TAKING PLAN MOVING FORWARD

I believe that I had a very good study strategy planned before taking my first statistics exam. The three study techniques that I used to prepare for this exam were flashcards, class notes, and tests from previous semesters. I am very comfortable with these three techniques and I think they are the best techniques to use to prepare for a mathematical exam. Most of my mistakes on my first exam were because of me running out of time to finish the exam. Moving toward my next exam I will continue to use these techniques, but I will amp up the frequency and time used to prepare for this exam. For this next test, I will have to work on the speed at which I take the exam so that I can totally complete everything that is on the test. Moving forward, I will also use the resources of tutoring and group testing to make sure that I am fully prepared for the exam.

REFLECTION ON TEST ANALYSIS

This post-test-analysis experience has been very beneficial to me and it has helped me to be more comfortable when approaching my professors for help. My professor Mengcong Ren was very helpful and she provided some great advice that will help me on my next upcoming exam. She explained to me in depth all of the main topics that I need to cover and some information on the makeup of this upcoming test. She also provided the suggestion to complete the free response questions before the multiple choice because the free response will have so much detail in this upcoming test. Ms. Ren agreed that I should stick to my studying strategies and techniques, but I should practice more on my test taking pace moving forward.
