Poverty isn't just about economics; it's also about the mindset.

It is disheartening and frustrating to be a small business owner who has been in business for years who lacks the technical skills required to thrive in the physical and digital business worlds of today.

To remedy the problem, Family Biz Builder will Stand in the Gap and bring wisdom together with STEM. Wisdom, in this case, represents the small business owner. STEM represents the youth and millennials who excel at science, technology, engineering, and/or math.

Partnering with STEM millennials and youth has made a dramatic difference in building organizations. Business experiences have a value worth more than gold when small businesses are teamed with eager young people who are ready to help build strong business futures and a stronger economy.

“[Science] is more than a school subject, or the periodic table, or the properties of waves. It is an approach to the world, a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change that world..." -President Barack Obama, March 23, 2015

Many would agree that STEM is the key to innovation and job creation in the United States. President Obama continually references the importance of STEM education and job creation in making the United States more competitive in the global economy.
