What is it?

COPD is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It refers to a group of diseases that cause airflow blockage and refers to breathing-related problems.

Causes

- Tobacco smoke - Exposure to polluted air - Respiratory infection - Air quality-

Signs/Symptoms

- Have activity limitations - Being unable to work - Not engage in social activities such as eating out, going to group events, or getting together with friends or neighbors - Have increased confusion or memory loss - Have more emergency room visits or overnight hospital stays - You can have other chronic diseases such as arthritis, congestive heart failure, diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, or asthma - You can have depression or other mental or emotional conditions-

Treatment

- Need to be examined by a physician - Stop smoking - Don't be around polluted air or pollutants - Medication - Rehab - Breathing strategies - Energy-conserving techniques-

Prevention

- Avoid breathing in smoke - Avoid breathing in air pollutants - Early detection - Tests-
