Parade & Bonfire

Homecoming week started on Monday night with the parade, pep rally and bonfire. At the pep rally, Coach Torbush challenged the student body to be loud and rowdy at Satuday's Homecoming game.

Many improvements were made inside Freedom Hall to enhance the fan experience, including new seats, new video board, and new paint job inside the facility.

ETSU recognized all-time leading scorer Tim Smith, who led the Buccaneers to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.

1st Half

Tip-Off of the 2016-2017 ETSU Men's Basketball Season!

In the first half, both teams shot well from the floor, with Fordham hitting 54.2 percent of its shots from the field and 75 percent (6-of-8) from 3-point range. Meanwhile, the Bucs were 17-of-29 from the field (58.6 percent) and 6-of-12 from 3-point range (50 percent).

2nd Half

Junior transfer David Burrell scored a game-high 21 points and five other teammates reached double figures, as the Buccaneers shot 63 percent from the field and opened Homecoming weekend by racing past Atlantic 10 Conference foe Fordham 96-59 Friday night inside Freedom Hall.

1st Half

Both teams combined to score 39 points and racked up 484 yards in total offense in the first half, as ETSU took a 23-16 lead into halftime ... Jajuan Stinson rushed for two touchdowns and hauled in a 29-yard reception from Austin Herink for the third score, while JJ Jerman's 26-yard field goal attempt right before half gave the Bucs a seven-point lead.


2nd Half

After watching both teams combine to score 39 points and rack up 484 yards in total offense in the first half, the ETSU defense dug in and did not allow a point in the second half, stifling the Phoenix offensive unit time after time and preserving a 23-16 Homecoming win in front of 6,735 fans at Kermit Tipton Stadium ... Jajuan Stinson scored all three touchdowns and totaled 143 all-purpose yards, while the Bucs' defense held Cumberland to 133 yards in the second half – including just 11 rushing yards ... ETSU's defense pitched a shutout in the final 30 minutes and recorded a pair of fourth down stops to secure the Homecoming win.
