The war of 1812 was against the British, France, First Nations, Canadians and the United States of America. The years it took place was from 1812-1815. This war occurred due to the British trying to take the First Nations to fight in the war (also known as stirring up drama). The phrase "stirring up drama" means to causing trouble for self benefit. Some of the consequences of this event were deaths of many soldiers and the growth of the U.S territory. The war of 1812 is important to learn because it tells us how hard it was to live. The old generation in that period of time were peaceful but some were nasty and cruel. Some of the things that impacted different groups in the war of 1812 were mostly the loss of family members. There was also a growth of immigrants in the US (they have more power). This lead to more manufacturing. The groups who won the war of 1812 are us the Canadians won the land war. But the Americans won the sea war.

The Explosion of the Acadians, this took place in 1755-1764. The groups that were involved in the explosion of the Acadians were the French and the British. Some of the causes of this event were 10,000 Acadians were deported to other colonies. Also this took place in the Eastern Coast of Canada which is called Nova Scotia. Some of the consequences of this event were families being separated, death for some Acadians who refused to be separated from their families. The explosion of the Acadians is important to learn about because it shows how the Acadians were treated and how hard it was to live at that time. Some of the things that impacted different groups in the explosion of the Acadian were mostly loss of family members.

The Treaty of Paris, this event took place in 1783. The groups that were involved in this act were the U.S.A, Great Britain, the French and the Canadians. Some of the causes of this event were the French had to give up all of their territories in Mainland North America. The British wanted more people to speak English and the Canadians were forced to learn the British ways. Also if we Canadians did not have the Treaty of Paris there would be more French speaking people. The Treaty of Paris is important to learn because if we did not have this treaty then there would of been more French speaking people and not many English speaking people. Some of the things that impacted different groups in the treaty were the Canadians had more English speaking people in there country than French speaking people.
