Tattoos on the Heart Amy mattern p3

Chapter 1: God, I Guess. This chapter is called this because God is the reason why we do many things that we do. I can relate to this because sometimes I decide to do something because I know that it is what God would want me to do. My favorite story in this chapter was of Willy, a gang member who started praying in a car when he was scared and truely found God. I enjoyed this story because it showed that we can find God as long as we listen for him.
Chapter 5: Slow Work. This chapter is called this because the people that Father G. help need to have patience with God's plan. I can relate to this because often when I need God's help, I need to be patient and wait for his plan for me to work out. My favorite story in this chapter was of Grumpy, a homie who refused to get his tattoos removed. After a while, he was getting out of a probation camp and decided to get them off. I liked this story because it shows that there is always hope for anyone.
Chapter 7: Jurisdiction. This chapter is called this because we need to be able to not exclude certain people from our jurisdiction. I can relate to this because sometimes I can struggle with acceptance of everyone, but I still try to love everyone as equals and let them into my jurisdiction. My favorite story from this chapter was about Flaco and Gato. These homies are from rival gangs and when Flaco got killed, Gato was happy about it at first. After talking to Father G. Gato became more empathetic and caring towards what had happened. I liked this story a lot because it can show that people should not be against each other, but should love each other no matter what.
