The image where my little sister is sitting on her bed in the morning and contemplating about her day I feel is a picture that you can really take a serious emotion out of because her face really shows it with the light shining in from the window.
The image of my dad sitting back on the couch watching TV after a long day of work I also thought was interesting for the viewer because it shows a little glimpse of his everyday life.
I used the lighting in this picture to direct the attention towards my little sister while she’s looking out the window.
I used dodging in this picture to brighten my dad’s face that was originally much darker on the original negative. I lightened my dad’s face so viewer’s attention would go straight to him.
I took this picture right along the fence so both the goat and the child feeding it were visible on each side. A typical picture would just be standing behind the child and taking a picture of the back of him feeding the goat, but I wanted to change it up a bit.
In this picture I decided to put my mom in the little framed-in window into the kitchen while she was doing dishes to get the frame within a frame effect.
When taking this picture I stood at the top of the staircase and looked down on my mom walking up the stairs, so the viewer’s attention goes down the stairs straight to my mom.
My "Greatest Hits" from this semester.
